Charles Allan "Chuck" Ragan (born October 30, 1974 ) is an American singer , songwriter and guitarist .
biography
From 1993 to 2006 Ragan was next to Chris Wollard lead singer of the post-hardcore - band Hot Water Music from Gainesville , Florida . In 2006 the band decided to stop playing together and founded The Draft without Ragan . Ragan himself began a solo career where he played music influenced by folk and bluegrass with an acoustic guitar, as in Rumbleseat , another side project of Hot Water Music . He has since released a series of singles on No Idea Records, as well as several studio, live albums and 7 "singles on SideOneDummy and other record labels. Ragan reunited with Hot Water Music in early 2008. They played that same year several shows in the US and Europe, and since then the band has been touring at irregular intervals and in 2012 released the studio album Exister .
Since 2008 Ragan has also organized the Revival Tour in the USA . In addition to Ragan himself, there are other musicians who mostly come from punk rock bands. The artists play their own songs, songs from their respective bands and cover versions in an acoustic guise. In 2011 this event took place in Germany for the first time. Ragan was accompanied by Dave HOME (The Loved Ones), Dan Andriano ( Alkaline Trio ) and Brian Fallon ( The Gaslight Anthem ) on guitar and vocals , as well as Jon Gaunt on fiddle and Joe Ginsberg on double bass .

Chuck Ragan released a total of seven singles, one per month, which collectively bear the title "The 7-Inch Club". Only buyers who pre-ordered the entire set received copies of the singles. The collected singles were also released on a CD called The Blueprint Sessions , which was included with the last shipment from The 7-Inch Club .
