Band history
Joakim Nilsson and Rikard Edlund previously played together with the stoner / doom metal band Norrsken , which dissolved in 2000 ; in 2006 they also formed the band Graveyard. It consisted of Joakim Nilsson (guitar, vocals), Rikard Edlund (bass), Axel Sjöberg (drums) and Jonathan Ramm (guitar, vocals).
In 2007 , the first album Graveyard was recorded under the direction of producer Don Ahlsterberg, who has also worked with The Soundtrack of Our Lives and The International Noise Conspiracy , and released on September 10th of that year on Transubstans Records . The album received consistently good reviews.
After an extensive tour through Europe (including with Witchcraft ) and the USA (with CKY ), the four Swedes returned to the studio, where they recorded their second album Hisingen Blues , which was finally released in March 2011 on the Nuclear Blast label. The German magazine Visions led Hisingen Blues on their list of the 55 best Swedish rock albums published in 2019.
On October 24, 2012, the third album Lights Out was released . On October 17, 2014, the band announced the departure of their bassist Rikard Edlund, who left the band in favor of his other music projects. His successor has been Truls Mörck since February 2015. On September 25, 2015, the fourth album Innocence & Decadence was released worldwide. On September 23, 2016, the band announced their breakup on Facebook . The reason given was discrepancies in the band. On January 26, 2017, the band announced their continued existence; only drummer Sjöberg is no longer involved.
