The Delilahs are a Swiss pop-punk band from Zug .

history

In 2003, Isabella Eder and Muriel Rhyner met at their school. Muriel Rhyner, at that time still active in her first band Attic (together with her brother Philipp), founded The Delilahs with Isabella Eder and the first percussionist Sonja Zimmerli in 2005 . In 2006 and 2007 the band played over 180 concerts in this line-up in Switzerland, England, Belgium, Germany and France. Their 3rd concert was a support act for stereophonics in the Zurich X-tra. In this formation the band played concerts with various international bands such as Maxïmo Park , Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Sons and Daughters . In addition to a big club tour, there were also many festivals: Open Air St. Gallen , Gurtenfestival , Hehre Open Air , Greenfield Festival , LoveBox Festival London , Dour Festival in Belgium, Europavox in France, Eurosonic in Groningen in Holland and Great Escape Brighton. The first single This Is It was played on several national and international radio stations.

Drummer Sonja Zimmerli left the band at the end of 2007 to pursue new goals. After a legal dispute with their management at the time, the band separated in the same year from the manager and from The in the band name. In spring 2008 the Delilahs released their first EP, If We Don't Shout, on the Swiss indie label Little Jig Records . The mini-album was produced by Delilahs himself and recorded in a short time. The single Bring me love back was played by the most important Swiss radio stations in the daily program. Michaela Baldinger played the drums for a year until the summer of 2009. On March 13th, 2009 the Delilahs released their first album Delilahs on the Bernese indie label CHOP Records , now for the first time with male support on drums by Bernese Daniel Fischer . Daniel Fischer only joined the band 2 months before the album was produced, after meeting him as a DJ at a concert. Küse Fehlmann, guitarist of the top Swiss band Züri West , was the producer of the debut. The single B Like Banana and the accompanying video clip rotated on the national stations.

Guitarist Philipp Rhyner, Muriel's brother and member of their first band, Attic , joined the Delilahs in spring 2009, first as a live support, but later as a permanent member . Since then, the band has played over 100 concerts in Germany and abroad in the same formation. At the end of 2009, Delilahs supported the German band The BossHoss on their tour through Switzerland and Germany. From 2010 the band dedicated themselves to the production of their second album "Greetings From Gardentown", which was released on January 20, 2012.
