The Bistum Shendam ( lat. : Dioecesis Shendamensis ) is in Nigeria preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Shendam .

history

The diocese of Shendam was founded on June 2, 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Nuper est petitum from cession of territory of the Archdiocese of Jos and subordinated to this as a suffragan .

On March 18, 2014, the Shendam Diocese gave up parts of its territory to establish the Pankshin Diocese .
