Finance ( proper spelling : FINANCE ) is a financial magazine and cross- media media brand that deals with topics from the corporate and financial world. The main focus is on capital market and corporate finance topics. The target group are financial decision-makers from large and medium-sized German companies.

history

The first edition of Finance appeared in July 2000 as a joint project of the founding editors FAZ -Institute for Management-, Market- and Media Information GmbH , Manager Magazin Verlagsgesellschaft mbH and Günther Würtele Information GmbH. Founded as a trade magazine for mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and corporate finance, Finance has developed over the years into a community magazine for chief financial officers. Finance has been part of the specialist publisher Frankfurt Business Media GmbH (formerly Financial Gates GmbH), a company of the FAZ publishing group, since 2001 . The online platform was launched in 2012.

Content

The trade journal appears six times a year and has a circulation of 18,000 copies (2/2016). The content is divided into three departments is divided:

  • Companies & Markets covers developments in companies and trends in finance markets .
  • In Personal & Personal you will find information on personnel changes at the financial decision-maker level as well as CFO portraits and interviews.
  • The Strategy & Efficiency Department deals with the operational side of CFO tasks and includes articles from areas such as controlling and accounting, treasury and M&A .

The website also offers the web TV format Finance-TV , which broadcasts current interviews with chief financial officers and market experts several times a week.

Events

Every autumn since 2005, Finance has organized the Structured Finance industry get-together , a congress and exhibition for corporate finance and structured financial products. The awards CFO of the year and Treasury of the year are presented.
