The foundling Gustav III.

The foundling Gustav III. ( Swedish Gustav III: s block or Gustav III: s flyttblock ) is a boulder ( Swedish flyttblock ) in Hagaparken in Solna north of Stockholm in the province of Stockholm County in Sweden .

The block is about 6.5 meters high and 10.0 meters long and next to the Blockhusuddens Flyttblock it is the most described and illustrated boulder in Sweden.

The block is just inside the park near the north entrance, not far from the “Stora Haga slott”. The story connects the boulder with Gustav III. who planned the castle, which was preserved as a ruin, in the mid-1780s. Large amounts of rock were required for the castle, some of which were broken up next to the construction site. There was even a failed attempt to blow up the boulder.
