Foundling New Dargelin
The Neu Dargelin boulder , also known as the large boulder of Neu Dargelin , is located around 800 meters north-northeast of the Neu Dargelin district of the Behrenhoff community in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district . He lies in a paddock on the edge of the valley of the swing . The stone is registered as a geotope at the State Office for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Geology Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania under the number G2_030 .
Its length is 6.8 m, the width 4.4 m and the height 0.8 m. With a circumference of 12.5 m, it has a volume of 29 m 3 . It consists of Svaneke - granite , which was transported with glaciers from the island of Bornholm to northern Germany during the Vistula glaciation . Today's top was sanded flat. The stone was split into two unequal pieces by frost blasting .
