Fingathing
Fingathing is a nu jazz / hip-hop band from Manchester , England , and consists of classically trained double bassist Sneaky and DJ / turntablist Peter Parker.
Career
Parker was a finalist at the US DMC World DJ Championships , where a certain Mark Rae was on the jury. Parker later met Rae at a record store in Manchester and was invited to audition with Rae & Christian's live band .
Parker played with Sneaky for a while at Rae & Christian before the two decided to continue as a duo. They signed with Rae's record company Grand Central Records in the UK (or Ninja Tune in the US) and have so far released three studio albums and one best-of album. The album and single covers of the band always contain the characteristic cartoons of the cartoonist Chris Drury.
