The Finstral AG is a leading window manufacturer in Europe, with headquarters in Italy. The headquarters of the family company is in Unterinn near Bolzano . The company produces most of the components of the products itself, from the window profile to the insulating glass to the assembly of the finished window. The “Finstral” brand is a registered trademark at the European patent office.
history
In 1969, Hans Oberrauch and Max Lintner founded Finstrahl OHG for the production of plastic windows and doors. At the beginning, plastic profiles from the "Petal" system from Hamburg were used. From 1971 the company switched to the profile system called “Trocal” from Dynamit Nobel . Due to the steadily rising import costs, the company began producing plastic profiles itself and developed its first profile system called "SYSTEM 100". The extrusion of the profiles was done in collaboration with the Italian company "Pozzi". From 1981 onwards, Finstral manufactured the profiles of the successor, called "System 200", which is still in use today, in its own extrusion plant "Weber" in Moos am Ritten in South Tyrol .
In 1972 Finstral first introduced the "slide-over assembly" technology, which is now completely standard on the market. The slide-over installation enables the window to be replaced in about two hours without having to do any masonry work.
The manufacturer-independent Institute for Window Technology in Rosenheim now recommends this type of installation for replacing windows. In addition, Finstral was the first foreign company to receive the German quality mark for RAL installation for windows and doors: in 1981.
In the 1980s, the license for a new wood surface structure was acquired. This is not glued on, but stamped directly into the plastic profile surface.
Since 2016 Finstral has been opening its own showrooms across Europe (Finstral Studios), as well as larger showrooms together with dealer partners ( Finstral Partner Studios). In the Finstral Studios and Finstral Partner Studios, the company exhibits its entire product portfolio on several hundred square meters.
Products

The entire Finstral product range includes windows, sliding doors, house doors, winter gardens, window walls as well as folding shutters, roller shutters and insect screens in a wide variety of designs and with a wide variety of materials from plastic to aluminum and real wood to a new material called "ForRes", a mixture of PVC scraps and rice husks (which can be recycled again).
