Moreno Winterstein

Lucien Moreno Winterstein (* 1963 in Saargemünd ) is a French jazz guitarist of traditional gypsy jazz ; he appears under the name Moreno .

Moreno received guitar lessons first from his father and later from his brothers. His role models were initially Dorado and Tchavolo Schmitt . As a street musician in Toulon, Moreno Tchan met Tchou Vidal , who trained him further and performed with him. In Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer , Manitas de Plata advised him to move to Paris. There he met the singer Marina, with whom he formed a band. He appeared with guitar colleagues Angelo Debarre , Tchavolo Schmitt and Ninine Garcia in the film Les Fils du Vent by Bruno Le Jean, which was also released on DVD in 2003. He can also be heard on recordings by Robert de Brasov and with the Hot Club de Norvège .
