Fiona Elliot (table tennis player)

Fiona Elliot , married. Mommessin , (* around 1967) is an English national table tennis player . She was one of the best players in England in the 1980s and 1990s, took part in several European and World Championships and was called up to the English national team 58 times.

Career

Fiona Elliot won a total of 15 titles at the National English Championships , namely two in singles (1987, 1990), six in doubles (1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1994 with Lisa Lomas ) and seven in mixed (1986, 1987 , 1988, 1990, 1992, 1993, 1994 each with Sky Andrew ). She took part in the European Championships in 1986 and 1994 and in the World Championships in 1987 , 1989 , 1991 and 1993 , but never came close to medal ranks.

In the early 1990s, Fiona Elliot spent some time in France. In 1992 she married the French table tennis player Didier Mommessin and joined a club in Le Kremlin-Bicêtre near Paris.
