Fiona Sieber (born February 14, 2000 in Osnabrück ) is a German chess player . She received the title of International Women's Champion (WIM) from FIDE in 2017 .

Fiona Sieber won the German U14w Individual Championship in 2013 . In 2018 she won the German U18 individual championship with 9 points from 9 games.

successes

In 2016 she became European Youth Champion in the U16 female age group in Prague . She won the German women's amateur championship in 2017 . In August 2018, Sieber won the 2018 German Women's Masters, fulfilling a standard for the title of Women's Grand Master . She also played at the FIDE U20w World Cup . She also took part in the 2019 European Women's Championship in Antalya .

Fiona Sieber is a member of the SG Aufbau Elbe Magdeburg association after having belonged to the ESV Rot-Weiß Göttingen association . Since 2013 she has played in the women's Bundesliga as a guest player for SK Lehrte .

National team

In 2014 and 2016 she played for the German team at the Youth Chess Olympiads and won bronze in 2014. In 2018 she won two gold medals at the 37th MITROPA Cup 2018 Women . She also played at the European Youth Team Chess Championship 2018 . In the European Team Championship in 2019 Sieber played within the German women's choices.
