The Fireball is an international two-man trapeze - dinghies . It was developed in 1962 by Peter Milne in England and is widely used; to date (2017) over 15,100 fireballs have been built.

The hull, mast and sails are exactly standardized, with the rest of the equipment there is great freedom. Traditionally, the Fireball was made of wood (shipbuilding plywood), and for some years it has also been made of plastic in a sandwich construction. Because of the relatively simple hull shape (hard chine construction), the Fireball is well suited for self-construction.
