Firmin Ngrébada

Firmin Ngrébada (born May 24, 1968 in Bangui ) is an independent politician from the Central African Republic . He has been Prime Minister of his country since February 2019 .

Career

Ngrébada is a graduate from Bangui University .

From 2008 to 2013 he worked for the government of François Bozizé . Ngrébada later served as deputy cabinet director under Simplice Sarandji when Sarandji was cabinet director and Faustin-Archange Touadéra was prime minister. He then became Head of Cabinet of the Central African Republic and Chief of Staff of the President. Ngrébada was appointed the new Prime Minister of the Central African Republic on February 25, 2019. He was appointed after a peace agreement was signed between the government and 14 armed groups to end violence in the ongoing civil war. He headed the Central African Republic delegation in the previous negotiations on the peace agreement.
