construction

The cockpit of an FP-202

Since the Koala was developed for self-construction, the entire construction is kept very simple: The FP-202 is a stripped shoulder wing with tail wheel chassis , which is completely made of wood . The steerable tail wheel is coupled to the rudder pedals . Due to the low flight speeds (minimum speed 45 km / h), brakes are not used as standard. However, the main landing gear can optionally be exchanged for a version with brakes that can be used separately on the left and right.

On the wings are neither lift devices nor airbrakes installed, the angle of repose is thus primarily regulated on the approach by the motor power.

The side windows can also be opened during flight and locked on the wings.
