Fishnish ferry terminal

Fishnish ( Scottish Gaelic : Finnsinis ) is a ferry terminal on the Isle of Mull , about halfway between Tobermory and Craignure . It is owned and operated by the Caledonian MacBrayne shipping company .

The facility consists of a slipway jutting out into the Sound of Mull Bay, with a waiting area for vehicles, a parking lot next to the slipway, and a small café with public toilets and an electronic display showing ferry times. Regular buses run from the ferry port across the island. The roads on Mull are mostly single-lane , only the A849 between Salen and Craignure, the A848 just before Tobermory and the A884 , which connects Fishnish to the A849 as a short spur road, are two-lane.

Fishnish can be reached by ferry from Lochaline , the journey time is around 18 minutes. Ferries to Kilchoan on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula , Oban and Iona also operate from other ferry terminals on Mull .
