Karl Bernth

Karl Bernth (born July 5, 1802 in Morawes near Brüx ; † November 10, 1879 in Brüx ) was a Bohemian poet and lawyer . He also wrote under the pseudonym Heinrich der Wepper .

Life

Karl Bernth was born in 1802 in the Bohemian town of Morawes near Brüx. After successfully completing his law degree, he first worked as a concept intern at the Brüxer Magistrate. After various stations, including in Leitmeritz , Klostergrab , Graupen , Gastorf or Theresienstadt , he came to Haida in 1842 as a magistrate . After several other relocations, he worked as an assessor in Trautenau for five years , then finally in 1856 as adjunct in the court in Niemes . From there he was given permanent retirement in 1858. He lived this as a retired district office adjunct and civil servant until his death in November 1879 near his place of birth in Brüx.

Bernth's journalistic activity began early during his school days at the Brüxer Gymnasium and extended to his time in Niemes, some of which his later poems deal with. He published two separate volumes of poetry in 1873 and posthumously in 1880, which were also published in several editions.
