The Fitton rock is a flattened clip rocks in the archipelago of Adelaide- and Biscoe Islands west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located southeast of Cape Alexandra off the southern end of Adelaide Island .

Participants in the Fifth French Antarctic Expedition , led by polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot, mapped it for the first time. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1963 after Gordon Francis Fitton (* 1932), who was part of the British Antarctic Survey team , which wintered on Adelaide Island for the first time between 1961 and 1962 during the campaign.
