The Fitzgerald Hill is a 230 m high hill on the Antarctic Ross Island . It looms west of Mount Bird between the Fitzgerald Stream and Shell Glacier .
Participants in a 1958-1959 campaign as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition mapped it. The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him after E. B. Fitzgerald, the campaign's deputy head.
