Fixcel records
The jazz label fixcel records was founded by Frank Schindelbeck in 2008. The label's headquarters in Neckarsteinach near Heidelberg, located in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, is partly reflected in the spectrum of artists recording for fixcel. As a rule, musicians from the region or musicians with a connection to the region are involved in the productions.
Above all, the work of drummer and percussionist Erwin Ditzner ( Mardi Gras.bb , Cobody, Ditzner Lömsch Duo) is documented on various releases of the label. You can also hear the following on the label's recordings: saxophonist and clarinetist Lömsch Lehmann (Underkarl, Ditzner Lömsch Duo), bassist Sebastian Gramss (Underkarl) together with saxophonist Leonhard Huhn , saxophonist Alexandra Lehmler and bassist Matthias Debus (both : Alexandra Lehmler Quintet).
The live recording of the “Ditzner Project” awarded annually by the Enjoy Jazz Festival with a “ carte blanche ” to Erwin Ditzner was recorded in 2010 with Marilyn Crispell (p), Sebastian Gramss (b) and Erwin Ditzner (dr) and stayed the title "Free Flight" in 2011. In 2015 the debut CD “Die Fichten” by Cologne musicians Leonhard Huhn, Stefan Schönegg and Dominik Mahnig was released, as well as the second recording by the Ditzner Lömsch duo under the title “II”. In October 2016, Kathrin Lemke's last recording , “My Personal Heimat”, was published posthumously on fixcel records.
