The Fjarðarheiðargöng or Seyðisfjarðargöng are a planned road tunnel in the East Fjords of Iceland .

It should improve the traffic connection between Seyðisfjörður and Egilsstaðir on the ring road . Road traffic and thus the connection to Egilsstaðir airport and the hospital there over the Fjarðarheiði plateau (620 m) is difficult, especially in winter, and is sometimes closed for a few days in a row. The tunnel is to be 13.5 km long, making it the longest in the country. Costs of 22-25 billion Icelandic kroner are expected , which is the equivalent of almost 200 million euros.

A Swedish company is currently investigating the mountain with boreholes on a route directly between the locations. The start of construction will not be before 2020. (As of July 15, 2016)

In Iceland's tunnel planning from 2000, three tunnels were envisaged: a 5 km long tunnel from Seyðisfjörjður into Mjóifjörður and from there a tunnel up to 9 km long towards Egilsstaðir. A third, almost 4 km long tunnel was to lead from Mjóifjörður to Neskaupstaður .
