Flávio Vianna de Ulhôa Canto (born April 16, 1975 in Oxford ) is a former Brazilian judoka . He was Olympic Knight in 2004.

The 1.79 m tall Canto started in the light middleweight division. He won his first international medal with bronze at the 1995 Pan American Games . at the 1996 Olympics he lost in the quarterfinals against the Japanese Toshihiko Koga , in the end he finished seventh. Three months after the Olympics, he won a bronze medal at the Pan American Championships.

In August 1997, Canto won the title at both the South American Championships and the Pan American Championships within a week. At the World Championships in Paris , he finished seventh. In 1998 Canto was third in the Pan American Championships. In 1999 he reached the final of the Pan American Games and received silver after his loss to the Cuban Gabriel Arteaga . Three months later he won the Pan American Championships. In 2000 Canto won the South American Championships and took third place in the Student World Championships.

In 2002 Canto won the title at the South American Games. At the Pan American Championships in the same year he took third place. In June 2003 he won the final of the Pan American Championships against Aaron Cohen from the United States. Two months later he won against Gabriel Arteaga in the final of the Pan American Games . In April 2004 he won the final of the Pan American Championships again against Arteaga. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Canto was defeated by Russian Dmitri Nossow in the quarterfinals, but Canto fought his way to the bronze medal with three wins in the round of hope.

2006 Canto won the Pan American Games. In 2007 he finished fifth in both the Pan American Championships and the Pan American Games . In 2009 he was runner-up in the Pan American Championships and in 2010 he won. At the 2010 World Championships , he finished fifth again. In 2011 he ended his active career.
