Flüe is a mountain hut belonging to the municipality of St. Niklaus ( Valais German Zaniglas ) in the Valais district of Visp .
geography
Flüe is located at 1465 m on the right flank of the valley southeast above St. Niklaus Dorf ( 1120 m above sea level , Valais German Zaniglas ) and can be reached via the Tennjerstrasse, a forest path and a footpath.
The settlement includes historical buildings, two stately residential buildings and several stables ( Valais German Gädini ) and storage (Valais German Schpiicher ). These are log houses made of larch wood with roofs made of solid stone slabs , which are located on the slope between 1418 m above sea level. M. and 1470 m above sea level. M. are distributed.

Until the sixties of the twentieth century, the Maiensäss was inhabited all year round, most recently by an Imboden family, whose two sons descended and climbed to school in St. Niklaus Dorf every day .
Hiking trails
Flüe is by land on foot via the hamlets of Balacker ( 1177 m above sea level ) and Biffig ( 1272 m above sea level ), which are 1.5 km and 2.5 km south of St. Niklaus Dorf on the right Side of the Vispa . The Maiensäss can also be reached on foot via Gasenried .
