Flanders Open

The Flanders Open was a squash tournament for men in the Belgian port city of Antwerp .

The tournament was launched in 1998 and was Category 2 Star with $ 21,000 in prize money in its first edition . John White secured the title at the premiere of the tournament. The following year it moved up a notch in the rating category with $ 35,000 in prize money. In 2000 and 2001 it was finally in Category 5 Star with $ 65,000 and $ 60,000 in prize money, respectively. After victories by Jonathon Power in 1999 and Peter Nicol in 2000, John White succeeded in winning the event in 2001 and thus as the only player to secure the title twice at the tournament.
