Esso Flanders Open 2001

The Esso Flanders Open 2001 took place from February 9th to 17th, 2001 in Antwerp , Belgium . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2000/01 and was endowed with 60,000 US dollars. It belonged to the category 5 star .

Peter Nicol , who started the tournament in first place as last year's winner, lost to John White in four sets in the semifinals . In the final, White met Paul Price , whom he defeated with 15:10, 13:15, 13:15, 15:13 and 15: 7.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 32 players, eight of whom were qualifiers. The eight best players were seeded. Per Wildcard would receive Stefan Casteleyn a spot in the main draw.
