Yrjö Korholin-Koski
Yrjö Korholin-Koski (also Karl Koski; born May 3, 1900 in Helsinki , † March 2, 1978 in Lake Worth , United States ) was a Finnish marathon runner .
In 1925 he was fifth in the Boston Marathon in 2:39:26 h and fourth in the Port Chester National Marathon in 2:41:19 h. A sixth place in the Boston Marathon 1926 in 2:41:22 h was followed by a second place in the Boston Marathon 1927 (as in the following years approx. 41.1 km) in 2:44:41 h.
In 1928 he won the Finnish Olympic elimination (41.6 km) in 2:35:12 h. At the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 he was seventh in 2:36:40 h.
At the 1929 Boston Marathon , he finished second in 2:35:26 h. In 1930 he won the US championships (38.5 km) in 2:25:22 h, was third in the Boston Marathon in 2:38:21 h and fourth in the Polytechnic Marathon in 2:46:34 h. The following year, a third place in the Boston Marathon in 1931 in 2:53:27 h was followed by a second place in the US Championships (38.7 km) in 2:44:00 h.
In 1934 he was fifth in the Boston Marathon in 2:44:52 h.
