Flenithi

The Flenithi was a Saxon district in the Middle Ages . He belonged to the diocese of Hildesheim .

This strip of landscape lay between Ambergau in the east and Aringo and Suilbergau in the west. In the north it reached up to Hildesheim and in the south to the Rittigau . Associated places include a. Harbarnsen and Westfeld . The Lamme (river) formed the eastern border .

The area ultimately fell to Hermann I von Winzenburg .
