Fleshgrind was a death metal band with Grindcore influences from Chicago , Illinois ( USA ).
biography
Fleshgrind was founded in 1992 by Rich Lipscomb (guitar / vocals) and Dave Barbolla (drums). Casey Ryba and Steve Murray were joined by a bassist and a second guitarist. After the first demo Holy Pedophile , the song Anger made a contribution to the compilation Repulsive Assault I by Repulse Records . After the second demo Sorrow Breeds Hatred (Bleed on Me) Fleshgrind was able to sign a record deal with Pulverizer Records . Casey Ryba was replaced by Ray Vazquez and released their debut album Destined for Defilement in 1997 . Shortly afterwards the line-up was changed again. For Vazquez came James Genenz (ex-Avernus) and for Barbolla Alan Collada.
After a few touring, the decision was made to part with Pulverized again. Pavement Music released a rerelease of the debut album in 1999. A new contract was signed with Olympic Records . There their second album The Seeds of Abysmal Torment was released in 2000. After the release, Lipscomb broke his ankle, so that the band was on hold for a year and a half. In 2002 a live EP was released , recorded in 2000 at the Fuck the Commerce Festival in Germany. During the preparations for the next album, drummer Collado got out and was replaced by Derek Hoffman. In 2003 the last album Murder Without End was released again on Olympic Records. Century Media took over European sales . After a split LP with Mortician , the band broke up in 2005.
Singer Rich Lipscomb ran his own label called United Guttural Records , which he sold in November 2005 after the band broke up.
