history
The company was founded in 1973 by the current managing director, Manfred Bogdahn.
Key figures
It is marketed worldwide and the company says it employs around 300 people. Ten percent of sales are generated on the German market and 90% in over 90 countries around the world. According to the company, over 200 million retractable lines have been sold worldwide.
Products
The core business is the retractable leash, which has been continuously developed since the company was founded, in various versions and other products that are closely related to the segment, such as dog collars. For many years, flexi was the sole supplier of retractable leashes and is still the world market leader.
Awards
flexi was awarded the title “Brand of the Century” in 2010. According to its own information, the company received the American Consumers Digest “Best Buy” award in 1998, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004; the red dot design award for the Comfort series 2006; for flexi Giant in 2002 the “Editor's Choice Award” from the American “ Dog Fancy ” magazine.
