It was an ensemble of three houses arranged around an open space used as a restaurant garden. The main building, erected around 1870, was a two-storey, plastered half-timbered building in the Swiss style with an outside staircase, a two-storey loggia and a dwarf house. The protruding gables were decorated with openwork woodwork. To the left of it was a single-storey hall building with arched windows, which was probably built a little later and was used as a coffee house. On the right there was a two-story building with a characteristic, octagonal corner tower, which originally also served as a lookout tower. There was also a restaurant and a “concert and ballroom” mentioned in 1876. There was also a “ marble bowling alley ” and a “ billiard salon”.

In 1896 the restaurant was run by A. Michi. In 1923 Ernst Schieblich bought it, in whose family it remained for two generations. Also in the 20s and 30s, the restaurant at the end of the tram was very popular with the people of Erfurt and was primarily used as an excursion restaurant for walks in the Steigerwald. It also remained a much-visited place for dance evenings, variety shows , large parties and balls. During the Second World War the house became a reception center for refugees from the east. During the GDR era, the houses were initially managed by Schieblich's daughter Charlotte, a married Dübber. This later leased the property to the Chamber of Crafts, which set up a “House of Crafts” there. However, since the lease income was so low that maintenance was not possible, she finally sold the property to the tenants for 70,000 marks . After the fall of the Wall, a prospective buyer bought the ensemble for over one million German marks . The main building was renovated and used for apartments. There was a wine shop in the right annex. From 1993 the hall served as the “Sockenschuss” party bar and from 2000 to 2016 as the “C1” disco. At the end of June 2017, the entire ensemble was demolished in order to build two apartment blocks with eleven condominiums each.
