Florence Gill
Florence Gill (born July 27, 1877 in London , † February 19, 1965 in Los Angeles , California ) was a British voice actress who became famous when she worked for Walt Disney Studios in the 1930s and 1940s . Her best-known role is that of the hen in the cartoon The Wise Little Hen .
Life
Born in London, she later emigrated to the United States. It wasn't until she was 50 that she started working at Disney, singing in the cartoon Dora's Dunking Donuts . Her second work ( The Wise Little Hen ) was her breakthrough. She could be heard in another 30 cartoons (mostly small roles) until she retired after Contrary Condor in 1944. Florence Gill died in Los Angeles at the age of 87.
