Florence Sartorius

Florence Sartorius (born April 10, 1846 in Göttingen ; † August 1, 1925 there ) was a German mechanic and entrepreneur .

Life

Florence Sartorius received a four-year training course from the Göttingen university mechanic Apel. After the journeyman's examination, he went on a journey for further training. On July 1, 1870, he opened his F. Sartorius precision engineering workshop in Göttingen , which can be seen as the beginning of the Sartorius Group . The success of his company was based primarily on a new type of short-arm analytical balance . It took less time to settle and therefore delivered a faster result.
