Florian Lensing-Wolff

Florian Lensing-Wolff (born November 6, 1930 in Dortmund ; † February 4, 2011 in Neutraubling- Lerchenfeld) was a German newspaper publisher.

Life

After graduating from high school, Florian Lensing-Wolff initially trained as a printer in Bremen and then studied business administration in Hamburg and Munich. As a student in Munich he became a member of the Catholic student association K.St.V. Rheno-Bavaria Munich in the KV .

Act

From 1957 he worked for Ruhr Nachrichten in Dortmund, founded by his uncle Lambert Lensing , and took over the management of this family business from 1965 to 1998, which he expanded further, including by taking over the Münsterschen Zeitung and the Emsdettener Volkszeitung.

Lensing-Wolff was also involved in newspaper associations, for example as Vice President of the European newspaper association EVPA. From 1991 to 1996 he was chairman of the supervisory board of the German press agency .

Honors

In 1989 Lensing-Wolff received the Order of Merit of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia .
