Life

Zoller graduated from the University of Göttingen with a degree in business administration in 1967. He then studied at UCLA , where he received a Master of Science degree in Operations Management in 1968. In 1970 he did his doctorate in business administration at the University of Pretoria . Until 2008 he headed the Institute for Logistics and Organization at the Helmut Schmidt University together with Michael Gaitanides . His research interests focused on the coordination of operational activities and processes with special consideration of uncertain framework conditions. The development of mathematical-statistical planning procedures for controlling tasks such as the target-oriented control of extensive material, spare parts and goods ranges in medium-sized and large companies as well as their implementation with the means of modern IT were the focus of his projects with industry and trade.
