Florian Swyter (born September 23, 1969 in Darmstadt ) is a German politician ( FDP ). From 2016 to 2020 he was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives for the FDP.

Life

Florian Swyter was born in Darmstadt in 1969 and trained as a banker there from 1990 to 1992. He then studied law in Frankfurt am Main and was a trainee lawyer in Frankfurt an der Oder from 1998 to 2000 . From 2001 to 2005 he worked as a personnel consultant and in an insurance company. Since 2005 he has been a consultant for pension policy and company pension schemes at the Federation of German Employers' Associations . Since April 1, 2020, he has been General Manager at the Federal Employers' Association of Personnel Service Providers .

Swyter is married and has two children. He lives in Berlin-Weißensee .

politics

Swyter has been a member of the FDP since 1989 . Initially he was active with the Young Liberals . He then held a post in the Darmstadt FDP district association. Parallel to his move to Berlin, he moved to the Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg district association. From 2012 to 2015 Swyter was the spokesman for the district committee. He has been treasurer of the Pankows district association since 2015.

Via the Pankow district list, he won a mandate for the FDP in the election for the Berlin House of Representatives in 2016 . On March 1, 2020, he voluntarily resigned from office. Alexander Wieberneit moved up for him .
