Floridus Buttinger
Floridus Johann Buttinger CanReg (born June 5, 1888 in Mehrnbach , † August 13, 1963 in Ried im Innkreis ) was an Austrian religious. From 1946 to 1963 he was provost and Lateran abbot of the Augustinian canons of Reichersberg am Inn.
Life
Buttinger entered the Augustinian Canons of Reichersberg on August 27, 1908 as H. Floridus. In 1913 he was ordained a priest and then worked in several parishes and various offices of the monastery. In 1946 Floridus Buttinger was elected provost of the Reichersberg Monastery, which he headed until his death on August 13, 1963. His funeral took place on August 17, 1963 in the Reichersberg Abbey.
