The Bobo-Dioulasso Airport is the international airport of the second city of Burkina Faso . It is located around three kilometers southwest of the city center of Bobo-Dioulasso in the province of Houet in the west and is the second largest airport in the country after the capital airport Ouagadougou .

General

The airport has an asphalt runway 3300 meters long and 45 meters wide in a north-east-south-west direction and enables aircraft landing in a north-east direction to make an instrument landing approach of the medium category (CAT II). The airport has two asphalt aprons (apron A, 100 m × 130 m and apron B, 123 m × 180 m) and is large enough to accommodate a Boeing 747 .
