Melanie Soyah (born August 12, 1977 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

As a player

Soyah started her career at FC Kalbach , together with Sandra Smisek . At the age of 14 she moved to FSV Frankfurt and began her professional career at the age of 18 with the German champions in 1996 and defended the championship title with the team. In the following two seasons she won the championship again with the team. She was active for the Frankfurt women until the end of the 2004/05 season before moving to league rivals FC Bayern Munich for the 2005/06 season. She made her Bundesliga debut for Bayern on August 28, 2005 (3rd matchday) in the 1: 3 defeat in the away game against SC 07 Bad Neuenahr . After that she was only used in the three consecutive match days and took a one-year break after the end of the season. Then she moved to RSV Roßdorf at the request of her former teammate Nina Kirchhain . In the town of the same name in the Marburg-Biedenkopf district , she let her active career as a player-coach end.

As a trainer

During her time in Roßdorf, she worked as a game coach for RSV Roßdorf and in 2008 celebrated promotion to the regional soccer league as a trainer .

Others

After the end of her career and the successful graduation as a clerk in system catering , Soyah got a job at Vapiano ; Today she works for the system catering company as Junior Operations Manager.

On May 29, 2016, Soyah married the former national soccer player Kim Kulig .
