The Minhad Air Force Base ( Arabic قاعدة المنهاد الجوية, DMG Qāʿidat al-Minhād al-ǧawwiyya ; English Minhad Airbase ) is an exclusively military airfield southeast of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates .
use
In addition to the F-16E / F and Mirage-2000 combat aircraft of the United Arab Emirates Air Force , this base also temporarily housed the so-called “Camp Mirage” of the Canadian armed forces , which were deployed in Afghanistan . In autumn 2010, Canadians were banned from further sharing by the UAE government due to disputes regarding the landing rights of their Emirates and Etihad airlines at Canadian airports, which have been using the US Spangdahlem Air Base in the Eifel since then .
