The Obihiro Airport ( Jap.帯広空港, Obihiro Kuko ) is a regional airport of the Japanese city of Obihiro . It is located about 16 miles south of the city of Obihiro. The airport Obihiro applies to the Japanese legislation as airport 2nd class .
Incidents
- On May 29, 1965, the right main landing gear of a Convair CV-240 of Japan Domestic Airlines ( aircraft registration JA5088 ) could not be extended properly and locked. The aircraft was then irreparably damaged when it landed at Obihiro Airport, but all occupants survived the crash landing.
