The Okayama Airport ( Jap. 岡山空港 , Okayama-Kuko ) is a small commercial airport in the city of Okayama in Japan , Okayama Prefecture . The airport is about twelve kilometers northwest of downtown Okayama. the airport is directly connected to the Shinkansen station in Okayama by a regular shuttle bus. From here there are currently (2014) international connections to Seoul , Taipei (summer flight schedule from March 30, 2014), Shanghai and Guam as well as domestic connections to Tokyo-Haneda , Sapporo-Chitose and Okinawa . Okayama Airport is a 3rd class airport under Japanese law .
