The Orsk Airport ( Russian Аэропорт Орск ) is a commercial airport 14 km south of the city of Orsk in the Orenburg Oblast in Russia . It is located directly on the Russian- Kazakh border.
The airport was opened in 1958 and initially only consisted of a grass runway; In 1982 a handling building was added, in 1987 the runway was paved so that jet-powered aircraft can also use the airfield without restrictions. Scheduled flights to Orenburg , Moscow-Domodedovo and Yekaterinburg are currently operated from here .
