Johann Friedrich Wilhelm Stein von Kaminski (born March 11, 1791 in Groß-Czapielken , † August 6, 1846 in Fürstenwalde / Spree ) was a Prussian major general .

Life

origin

Friedrich was a son of the Prussian councilor Georg Heinrich Stein von Kamienski (1764-1838) and his wife Johanna Renate, née Frisch (1758-1832). His father was the master of Wyczechowo and Groß-Czapielken.

Military career

After visiting the school in Gdansk Kaminski resigned in January 1805 as Junker in the hussar regiment "Usedom" the Prussian army one. In the Fourth Coalition War he fought in the battles near Halle (Saale) , Waren and Lübeck .

After the Peace of Tilsit , Kaminski rose to the cornet at the beginning of December 1807 and took his leave on December 27, 1808 in order to be able to enter into foreign service. On April 5, 1809, he was awarded the character as a second lieutenant and was on October 4, 1809 a patent for this rank the West Prussian Lancers aggregated and einrangiert on July 13, 1810 Patent of 15 December. 1807

During the Wars of Liberation , Kaminski was wounded in the Battle of Großgörschen . He fought at Großbeeren , Dennewitz , Lille and Belle Alliance . For his behavior with Lannois he was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd class.

On November 9, 1815, he was promoted to Premier Lieutenant and on September 27, 1827, he was promoted to Rittmeister and squadron chief . In 1832 he was awarded the service cross and promoted to major on December 14, 1833 . In 1835 he received the Order of St. Stanislaus, 2nd class. When he was promoted to lieutenant colonel , Kaminski was commissioned on April 7, 1742, initially to lead the 3rd Uhlan regiment and on January 10, 1843, he was appointed regimental commander. In this position he was awarded the Order of the Red Eagle IV class on September 17, 1843, as well as the Order of Saint Anne II. Class and rose to colonel in March 1845. Kaminski took his leave on March 5, 1846 with the statutory pension under the status of major general . He died a short time later on August 6, 1846 in Fürstenwalde / Spree.

family

Kaminski married on July 3, 1829 in Rackschütz Wilhelmine von Dobschütz (1798-1854). The couple had no children of their own and therefore adopted the girl Therese (1836–1911), who married Guido von Stoesser (1826–1896), Herr auf Rackschütz and lieutenant in the Guard Hussar Regiment in 1854 . From 1879 he was representative of Upper Silesia in the Silesian General Landscape Directorate and director of the Silesian Landscape Bank.
