The Aeropuerto Internacional Capitán FAP David Abensur Rengifo is the regional airport of the Peruvian city of Pucallpa .
It is served by the LAN Perú and the LC Perú from Lima .
There were two serious aircraft accidents on flights to Pucallpa Airport.
- On December 24, 1971, flight LANSA flight 508 , approaching Pucallpa, crashed well before Pucallpa when the aircraft broke apart after being struck by lightning. As if by a miracle, 17-year-old Juliane Koepcke was the only one who survived the fall from a height of 3,000 meters, killing 91 people. She managed to get through the jungle for ten days without proper food to a forest workers camp.
- In 2005, TANS-Perú flight 204 , which was approaching Pucallpa, crashed near the airport .
