The Wakkanai Airport ( Jap. 稚内空港 , Wakkanai Kuko ) is the airport of the Japanese city of Wakkanai and is about eleven kilometers east of this, right on the coast. Wakkanai Airport is a 2nd class airport under Japanese law . It is the northernmost airport in Japan.
