The Aeropuerto Internacional Angel S. Adami ( IATA airport code : nonexistent - ICAO airport code: SUAA) is an airfield in Uruguay .
Angel S. Adami airfield is located in the south of Uruguay, northwest of Montevideo in the department of the same name and is the only airfield in the department. It is located near Ruta 5 to the west of the airfield .
With the runway "18/36", the airfield only has a single runway, which is, however, designed to allow larger aircraft such as the C-130 Hercules aircraft used by the Uruguayan Air Force to land enable. Nevertheless, the airfield has developed into a center for small and medium-sized aircraft in recent decades.
The airfield, which is used in particular by domestic and foreign companies, spray aircraft companies, aviation clubs and the Uruguayan Air Force, recorded around 63,000 aircraft movements per year in 1999, which corresponded to an average of 172 flights per day.
Others
In November 2011, more than 15,000 visitors came to an aviation festival (Festival Aéreo) organized by the Fuerza Aérea Uruguaya for the benefit of the Fundación Cesáreo Berisso on the airfield.
