Flying wheel

Flying wheel in the Schwabenpark

A flying wheel is an amusement ride model from Metallbau Emmeln, which is a combination of a gyro tower and a ferris wheel . It consists of a 13.5 meter high tower on which two gondola carriers reminiscent of Ferris wheels, each with three gondolas for four to six people, can be raised and lowered again. Both the Ferris wheels and the tower rotate during the journey.

Since Flying Wheels are not high-speed amusement rides, the passengers in the gondolas are not secured by restraint systems, but the journey is faster than in a ferris wheel or gyro tower. So far, Flying Wheels have only been implemented as a stationary version.
