The Flynn Glacier is a 15 km long glacier in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It flows from Mount Nares in the Churchill Mountains in an easterly direction to the Starshot Glacier , which it reaches south of the Kelly Plateau .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1965 after Commander William F. Flynn of the United States Navy , who headed the Bravo Special Forces mobile construction battalion at McMurdo Station in the winter of 1957.
