The Armensee or Fockbeker See , formerly also called Seemühlensee , is a lake in the German state Schleswig-Holstein east of the village of Fockbek . The lake is approx. 27 hectares and up to 1.9 m deep.
history
Since the 16th century, the settlers at the lake and the town of Rendsburg and the heads of the Holy Spirit Hospital have argued about fishing rights on the water . In the negotiations, the chiefs referred to the memorial book from 1495, after the city had sole fishing rights, "for the good of the poor in the poor houses" (hence the name Armensee). Until 1989 the lake was part of the urban area of Rendsburg.
