Folke Bertil Lind ( April 4, 1913 - February 6, 2001 ) was a Swedish national soccer player .

Career

Lind played for GAIS Göteborg between 1932 and 1948 . With 265 games in the Allsvenskan he is the club's record player. The midfielder scored eight goals. Even after relegation to Division II in 1937, he remained loyal to the club and managed to get promoted again with the team in 1940. In the second division he played 40 times, but remained without a goal. In 1942 he won the Svenska Cup . In the final against IF Elfsborg he scored the decisive goal for the 2-1 success.

Lind was also a Swedish international . His only appearance in the blue and yellow dress dates from the Olympic Games in 1936 , when the Swedish selection surprisingly lost 3-2 to Japan . Nevertheless, he was part of the Blågult squad at the 1938 World Cup .
